Bed bugs are small, oval insects that feed by sucking blood from humans or animals. They do not fly. The bed bug, or Cimex lectularius, gets its nickname from the reason that it often makes its home in people’s beds. They can live anywhere in the home, in cracks of furniture and floors. However, they are most common in mattresses, box springs and bed frames. When you are bitten by bed bugs you do not feel any pain and or notice it. These bites can appear as a rash.
